Week 8 produced its share of upsets in college football. Though none of the top five teams in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll actually lost, that didn’t stop the voters from rearranging things a bit.

The change didn’t apply to No. 1 Georgia, of course. The Bulldogs had the weekend off heading into their annual showdown with archrival Florida and are still the unanimous top choice.

There is, however, a new No. 2. Oklahoma was demoted to No. 4 after needing to overcome a sluggish first half at Kansas. Cincinnati moves up to the second position, its highest ranking in program history, after outlasting Navy on the road. Alabama also slipped ahead of the Sooners, climbing to No. 3 after pulling away from Tennessee late. Ohio State continues to round out the top five after rolling past Indiana.

From NFL plays to college sports scores, all the top sports news you need to know every day.

Michigan and Michigan State, set to square off head-to-head this week, hold the 6 and 7 positions, respectively. Oregon, which survived a close one at UCLA, is up to No. 8. Mississippi and Iowa move into the top 10 as Oklahoma State and Penn State slip six spots to No. 15 and nine places to No. 17, respectively.

The week’s only dropout is Clemson. The Tigers suffered their third loss of the season at No. 19 Pittsburgh and are out of the Top 25 for the first time since Sept. 28, 2014.

Iowa State returns to the poll at No. 23 after handing Oklahoma State its first loss. No. 24 Coastal Carolina and No. 25 N.C. State stay in following losses.
